As the Ordnance Engineering Manager, you will manage definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, task delegation, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware custom and procured hardware and systems in accordance with engineering process specifications. Ensure designs adhere to Common Integrated Processes as documented in Command Media, and drive process improvement into the design culture. Provide solution‑based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error‑free design using proven tools, processes and predictive measures.

• Work collaboratively with the program and functional senior leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments and rotations to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills.
• Drive performance management, career development, and personnel related activities.
• Ensure SSC’s standard technical processes and tools, best practices, and training are available and properly implemented on the program.
• Further develop layouts, using advanced composites and aerospace metallic materials for flight structures and weldments.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
