Basic Qualifications
- Direct experience leading technician teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with Aerospace testing practices.
- Functional knowledge of propulsion system testing.
- Functional knowledge of the assembly, operation and maintenance of aerospace test systems that include propellant, hydraulic, pneumatic, ordnance, and cryogenic systems.
- Functional knowledge of crane operations, including experience with lift plans.
The Engineering Propulsion Laboratory (EPL) is seeking a Test Operations Associate Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of test operations and Ordnance technicians that support hazardous test operations with pneumatics, ordnance, propulsion systems, mechanisms, cryogenics, and hydraulics. The laboratory supports multiple programs, each with differing levels of requirements definition, while operating under tight schedule and cost constraints. The incumbent continuously evaluates workload, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure safe, on time, and on budget delivery of test data and hardware validation.
In addition to overseeing test operations, the incumbent will implement training, mentoring, and onboarding programs for both new hires and experienced technicians. The individual will ensure a highly skilled, safety conscious workforce capable of meeting mission critical objectives, perform duties as the EPL Drop Mitigation, PPE, and FOE/FOD Representative, perform propellant management duties for EPL and the Waterton campus, and manage primary EPL test equipment readiness, including spares management.

- Functional knowledge of SAP.
- Functional knowledge of VE CAMS / PO's.
- Functional knowledge of Automation Framework.
- Experience developing and implementing collaborative strategies for continuous process improvement for improved affordability and/or efficiency.
- Highly effective oral and written communication abilities needed to coordinate with internal customers, EPL staff and management.
Onsite full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
