Job Title:
Process Engineer - Group Manager
This role focuses on designing, commissioning, and optimizing chemical and energetic material processes in a hands‑on pilot plant and production environment. You will develop P&IDs, define equipment specs, support process controls, and lead pilot plant and facility commissioning efforts. The position emphasizes safety in hazardous and flammable environments and requires close collaboration with automation teams and approximately 50% travel to a Texas facility.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain P&IDs and process documentation
- Define equipment specifications for reactors, piping, and process systems
- Support process control strategies with automation engineers
- Lead pilot plant commissioning and test production runs
- Ensure safety compliance for hazardous and flammable processes
- Support facility design and commissioning for energetic materials
- Provide on‑site support in Texas
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and mentor junior engineers
- Leading and managing a group of individuals divided into teams specific to their function (Synthetic/Analytical Chemistry, Material Processing & Formulation, Process Design & Engineering)
- Process engineering experience in chemical, oil & gas, or similar hazardous environments
- Strong P&, plant design, and commissioning experience
- Hands‑on pilot plant and test run experience
- Knowledge of process controls and safety standards
- Chemical or Oil & Gas engineering background (PE preferred)
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
- Aspen Plus or similar tools
- Experience with energetic materials or explosives
- Direct plant troubleshooting and optimization experience
Work Environment:
On‑site in Littleton, CO with approximately 50% travel to Texas. Fast‑paced, hands‑on role working with hazardous materials. Strong collaboration across engineering and operations teams, with solid benefits and flexible scheduling options.
Job Type &

Permanent position based out of Littleton, CO.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $95,000.00 – $/yr. 401k match, health insurance paid plus premium for dependents, extended flex time, potential hybrid flexibility, 9/80 or 4/10 schedule.
