As a Component Engineer Associate - Early Career, at Lockheed Martin, you will join a team dedicated to ensuring the highest reliability of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEEE) parts for the Global Positioning System (GPS) Program. You will learn to navigate military specifications, assist in technical documentation, and help resolve component-level issues during production. This role provides a clear path for growth in the specialized field of high-reliability electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support:
    Participate in EEEE parts engineering assignments related to hardware design, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Part

    Qualification:

    Assist in the selection, qualification, and testing of electronic components like integrated circuits, transistors, and capacitors.
  • Failure Analysis:
    Support investigations into part non-conformances and participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.
  • Documentation:
    Prepare technical reports, specifications, and progress updates on assigned component tasks.
  • Collaboration:

    Coordinate across functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to resolve manufacturing issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field
  • Basic understanding of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, and semiconductors.
  • Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, schematics, or technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Eligibility/willingness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills
  • Prior internship or co‑op experience in an aerospace, defense, or high‑tech manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on project experience involving circuit design, electronic testing, or laboratory analysis.
  • High attention to detail regarding data entry and technical documentation.
  • A strong interest in EEEE component reliability, radiation effects, or supply chain risk management.
  • Active or Current Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
