SIE develops, integrates, and delivers affordable engineering and sustainment solutions for commercial, military and intelligence users across the globe.

These mission critical efforts include development of innovative enterprise, cloud and application-based solutions for mission management, command and control, collection orchestration and tasking, processing, data analysis and analytics along with premier operations and sustainment capabilities of space-based programs in support of national security.

The System Engineering Asc Manager is a first-level management position supporting the integration of software ground systems for the Hornet Phase 2 program with 5-10 multi-disciplined engineers assigned within their reporting structure. In this role, the candidate will oversee execution of the System Engineering scrum team, ensuring that objectives are executed in accordance with the program schedule and coordinated across multiple value streams within the program.

Additionally, the individual will provide support to programmatic tasks such as Cost Account Manager and estimation for future work (ROMs / BOEs), as well as reporting progress toward task completion, and conducting status meetings within the team and with leadership.

This position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026.

The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications

Prior experience in a technical or programmatic leadership role on a development / O&S contract

Prior experience in a factory or system level engineering organization on a development / O&S contract

Prior experience tracking & reporting on the progress of an engineering team effort to leadership

Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), specifically as a Control Account Manager (CAM)

Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI. ship is required

Desired skills

Prior experience as an L-Coded leader - to include staffing, awards, career discussions, appraisals, salary planning, and ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin policies & procedures

Domain expertise in the Stinger portfolio - knowledge of customer, products and mission

Proficiency with Agile development tools, techniques and associated business rhythms

Understanding of processes associated with configuration management & engineering review boards

Experience with Full Spectrum Leadership in execution and delivery of E&T responsibilities

Experience defining and developing new work requests (RFCs, ROMs, Ad-Hoc tasks, etc.)

Strong project engineering and organizational skills in a team-based environment

Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
