Job SummaryExo Terra is seeking a full‑time Thermal Engineer. The hired employee will be responsible for completing design, analysis, and test tasks as they relate to Hall‑effect Thrusters, xenon and krypton propellant flow control systems, and electronic power systems.
Responsibilities and Duties- Perform thermal analyses, in accordance with industry standards, of systems ranging from components to entire spacecraft, to support design development, verify customer requirements, and ensure functionality in thermally stressing space environments
- Provide thermal support for multiple programs simultaneously
- Understand customer‑specified requirements, interface with customers, present analysis results to customers in design reviews, and prepare reports of analysis results for delivery to customers
- Support thermal testing of components and propulsion systems
- Correlate thermal models to test data
- Support sign‑off of flight hardware for delivery to customers
- Contribute to process and efficiency improvements
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with various teams, including program management, design, manufacturing, analysis, etc
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years of industry experience (pay commensurate with experience)
- Extensive experience with Thermal Desktop analysis software
- Strong knowledge of principles of heat transfer and thermodynamics
- Engaged learner

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Competitive salary range: $93,000-$150,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
