Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you   As the D5LE2 System Safety Engineering Lead on the Fleet Ballistic Missile program, you will serve as the primary point of contact for system safety on the new program

In this role, you will:

- Manage and lead the safety analysis development across the program

- Be responsible for presenting the safety assessment strategy and status to the customer and for major program milestone reviews

- Perform system and subsystem safety in accordance with MIL STD 882E

- Collaborate across the FBM program integrated product teams  IPTs  to help foster a positive safety culture

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Experience in the engineering development lifecycle

- Must have experience in requirements derivation, decomposition, and verification

- Experience with contractual requirements and their execution throughout the product lifecycle

** Desired

Skills:

* - A minimum of a BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education

- Subject matter expert in the System Safety discipline

- Active Top Secret Clearance

- Experience interfacing with Customer and Program Management

- Software Safety experience

- Experience working in System Safety Working Groups   SSWG, WSESRB, SSSTRP, etc

- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience identifying critical hardware & software

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 9x80 every other Friday off

** Pay Rate:
