Immediate need for a Circuit Design Engineer II in Littleton, CO that enables successful manufacture, test, and delivery of critical power components for the LM2100 and LM400 satellites. As part of a central organization, our team supports a wide variety of exciting space programs and customers. This is an opportunity to provide cradle-to-grave design engineering support for critical satellite components.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Prior work designing and analyzing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
- 1+ years of professional experience.
- Design and develop Power electronics assemblies.
- Manufacturing and test support for (or including) defect and anomaly resolution.
- Support failure investigation processes, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Lead requirements management, verification, and hardware acceptance.
- Technical liaison for the hardware with both Production and Program teams.
- Aerospace power subsystem components
- Motivation to learn new concepts and skills
- DC to DC converter topologies such as Flyback, Buck and Boost
- Unit level electronics testing and troubleshooting
- Power electronics testing and troubleshooting
- Analysis or simulation of power electronics
- Engineering tools such as Zuken, LTSPICE, SIMPLIS, MATHCAD or similar products
- Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Electrical Part Stress Analysis (EPSA)
- Problem solving and electronics troubleshooting skills including root cause and failure overstress analysis
- Circuit board layout and principles
- Selection of parts for high reliability applications
- Systems engineering and requirements verification
