Position: AEROSPACE ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will lead development and sustainment efforts related to the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and missile, with a focus on missile structures and flight sciences analyses.
* You will provide comprehensive oversight of prime contractor design/product assurance activities across all program lifecycle phases, development through deployment and disposal, ensuring compliance with contractual and systems engineering criteria.
* You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems.
* You will monitor hardware sustainment, evaluate environmental and aging effects, oversee configuration management compliance, and direct the investigation and corrective action for discrepant or non-conforming hardware.
* You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.
* You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), laboratories, and consultants.
* You will uphold technical rigor as relates to flight science disciplines, modern development approaches, and production disciplines, to include, but not limited to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
* You will perform engineering analyses for proposed design changes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to approve/disapprove changes as the change authority Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
