Systems Integration and Test Engineer Senior

Overview

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Platform Integration Integrated Product Team (IPT) focused on CPS installation on US Navy destroyers and submarines.

• Support the CPS Platform Integration IPT work across the Lockheed Martin–led industry team and work with multiple US Navy stakeholders.
• Engage with shipyard support organizations to define details of the weapon system installation plans for US Navy destroyers and submarines, customizing those plans based on individual platform features, material delivery schedules, and platform production schedules.
• Represent Lockheed Martin in weapon system simulator development and usage planning working groups.
• Ensure shipboard interfaces (e.g., power, data) are managed between the weapon system and host platform, drive integration with shipboard electrical systems, and develop contingencies for host platform modification based on identified installation risks.
• Report to the Platform Integration IPT lead, work closely with the Launcher IPT, Weapon Control System IPT, and support overall Platform Systems Element effort.
• Support the System Engineering & Integration Team (SEIT) in requirements development/verification, interface definition, and model/architecture changes to support system design, testing, and platform integration.
• Support development of the shipboard Installation and Checkout plans, Integration test planning, and Ship Installation Drawings to meet US Navy integration milestones.
• Work with the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Element to provide Platform Integration perspective in the development of test plans and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior professional experience in electrical engineering or a related electrical technology development environment.
• Experience communicating technical subjects with external stakeholders and program engineering or program management leadership.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret level clearance.

• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve sophisticated problems and implement constructive change.
• Demonstrated experience with a weapon systems or missile development program.
• Familiarity with US Navy build, test, and certification requirements.
• Experience with complex integration problem solving, involving multiple engineering disciplines and complying with rigorous system engineering processes.
• Knowledge of Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) processes and procedures.

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

• Annual base salary range: $89,300 - $157,550 (specific to certain states; consult site for details).
