  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by adding modest security checks.
  • Maintain documentation of security findings and support the preparation of reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Attend cross‑functional meetings with product owners, Dev Ops, and software architects to understand how security requirements translate into code.
  • Participate in code‑review sessions to learn secure‑coding best practices.
  • Complete onboarding training, pursue relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC), and engage in internal knowledge‑sharing events.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen; requires a government security clearance. The position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Possess or obtain a CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • 0–2 years of software development/scripting or related technical experience, including internships, co‑ops, capstone projects, or open‑source contributions.
  • Familiarity with Linux CLI and Bash shell.
  • Proficiency in at least one high‑level language (preferably Python) and exposure to another language such as Java, C/C++, or Go; ability to read, modify, and debug existing codebases.
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with NIST Cyber Security Framework, RMF, or SSDF.
  • Knowledge of DISA, CIS, ISO, or equivalent cybersecurity standards.
  • Basic understanding of core cybersecurity concepts (confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, authorization) and industry frameworks such as OWASP Top
    10.
  • Introductory experience with version‑control systems (Git), static analysis tools (e.g., Bandit, pylint), and simple CI/CD concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear technical notes and documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, follow direction from senior engineers, and contribute constructively during code reviews and stand‑ups.
  • Evident enthusiasm for continuous learning, participation in hackathons, security clubs, online courses, or relevant personal projects.
