Arapahoe County is looking for a full‑time Junior Product Analyst - Digital Services. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for working directly with county departments to deliver government services that are simple, effective, and easy to use; supporting the vision, roadmap, and enhanced digital delivery of user‑centered products to solve problems and modernize county services; researching, process mapping, and analyzing data and systems to recommend product decisions.

The ideal candidate for this position is an empathetic product analyst who cares deeply about how technology can touch residents’ lives and lead to innovative outcomes. You will be a creative critical thinker who wants to shake up the status quo, have exceptional people skills, and have experience shipping web products using Agile practices.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they're getting value while growing the use and adoption of digital tools and services.

Duties
  • Assists the Product Manager in developing and maintaining strategic short‑term and long‑term roadmaps for technology products for business partners, ensuring alignment to the Information Technology department and the County’s strategic priorities specific to digitalization and citizen facing technology.
  • Collaborates with business partners to ensure the best usage of technology and identify strategic business function opportunities for both short and long term, and track adoption across relevant departments.
  • Assists with information gathering conversations with end users to obtain needs and requirements, determines scope and prioritization of activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Researches and identifies potential products.
  • Collaborates with vendors and/or development staff to determine the most effective way to achieve product requirements.
  • Supports the Product Manager in collaboration with IT leadership to create and implement product business strategies that leverage and integrate IT strategy of architecture, infrastructure, and application development of existing and new technology to achieve business objectives.
  • Assists the Product Manager with managing customer expectations with respect to IT Services, identify gaps between business needs and IT services, contribute to finding innovative solutions to fill those gaps, and influence stakeholders buy‑in to change and/or adoption as necessary.
  • Uncovers regulations, statutes, and rules governing programs and services to ensure alignment with technology options.
  • Collaborates with IT staff to ensure alignment of operational business process.
  • Assists in defining metrics and key performance indicators and tracks and reports metrics.
