WiFi Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of Wi‑Fi products in a lab environment.
• Analyze performance metrics like throughput, latency, and coverage.
• Troubleshoot issues using Wireshark packet capture and analysis.
• Develop and execute test plans based on product requirements and specifications.
• Create detailed test reports documenting test results, findings, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, firmware) to identify and resolve issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Wi‑Fi standards and technologies.

• Understanding of Wi‑Fi protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Some experience with Wi‑Fi testing tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in using Wireshark for packet capture and analysis.
• Experience deploying, implementing and troubleshooting wireless networks.

• Experience with Ixia or similar traffic generation and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl) for test automation.
• Experience working with multiple wireless access point vendors (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, Ubiquity, Cambium) is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
