Position Overview

We are seeking a Material Support Team Member at our Waterton Facility.

Responsibilities

The Material Support Team Member will be responsible for the control of inventory for the stockroom supporting multiple programs across the base. This service‑oriented role provides direct support to space programs and manufacturing floors. The position processes and monitors customer demands and schedules program production orders in a fast‑paced environment, working with multiple programs and locations at various levels of production support.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to help resolve issues and discrepancies as they arise.

This role maintains supply‑chain metrics, ensures inventory database accuracy, and works with the represented team to monitor the progress of stocking, picking, and kitting of parts/flight hardware. Completed kits are staged in the area flow centers or delivered to manufacturing areas of MMC 360.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in inventory or material management.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide reports, requested information, completed special projects, and assignments to management.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite applications and business management software (SAP preferred).
  • Time management, delegation, organization skills with strong problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to complete assignments requiring judgment and discretion; failure to achieve results may affect schedules and programs.
  • Strong team player and capable of working independently with minimal supervision; able to provide daily direction to represented staff.
  • Willingness to support occasional weekends, holidays, or off shifts.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/education; in lieu of a degree, relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Good understanding of supply‑chain performance metrics.
  • Proficiently skilled in MS Office suite; intermediate/strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient working with inventory management software systems.
  • Knowledge of shelf‑life, hazardous material, and temperature‑controlled material.
  • Experience working with Union contracts.
  • Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to accept added responsibilities.
  • Superior knowledge of receiving/warehousing/inventory management.
  • Advanced knowledge of shelf‑life, hazardous material, and temperature‑controlled material.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $57,400 – $101,200 annually (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC; other states will reflect required location). Salary determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, and market.

Location‑specific Paid Time Off:
Washington state applicants accrue at least 10 hours per month of PTO for incidental absences and at least 90 hours for holidays (unrepresented full‑time). Represented full‑time employees accrue 6.67 hours of vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave and holidays prorated based on start date.

Incentive plan eligible.

Work Schedule

Onsite full‑time.

Schedule:

9x80 with every other Friday off.
