Job DescriptionEstablishes and maintains PAR levels to ensure adequate stock of necessary supplies. Builds and maintains relationships with clinical and non‑clinical customers to ensure effective communication and support. Rotates stock to ensure the oldest items are used first and to prevent expiration. Participates in VAT Committee activities to contribute to decision‑making processes. Engages in performance improvement activities to enhance departmental efficiency. Contributes to value analysis projects to evaluate and improve supply usage.
Initiates supply return requests and ensures proper handling and documentation. Manages product recall activities to ensure the safety and compliance of supplies. Ensures staff awareness of new items, product changes, substitutions, back orders, and out‑of‑stock supplies. Meets with suppliers to discuss and resolve supply‑related issues and to coordinate product trials and evaluations. Coordinates product trials and evaluations to assess the suitability of new supplies.
Maintains a clean and organized supply area to ensure easy access and inventory management. Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of products and equipment used in the specialty area. [Required]
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. [Required]
- Demonstrated ability to work independently. [Required]
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required]
- Understanding of clinical procedure processes. [Required]
- In‑depth knowledge of products and equipment used in specialty area. [Preferred]
- Some knowledge and experience in performing the duties associated with purchasing, receiving, shipping, and distribution. [Preferred]
- Demonstrates ability to use an ERP system. [Preferred]
