We’re seeking an experienced Planner to manage capacity, materials, and production scheduling for a leading manufacturer in the medical device industry
. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely delivery of products through proactive planning, coordination, and process optimization.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in production planning within a regulated manufacturing environment, strong MRP/ERP skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.
Position OverviewThe Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, aligning materials and labor resources, and collaborating across departments to meet manufacturing and delivery targets. This role requires attention to detail, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to adapt plans based on capacity and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and monitor weekly production schedules and planning metrics.
- Coordinate material, machine, and labor resources to meet delivery timelines.
- Prioritize and adjust production plans based on capacity and material availability.
- Communicate forecast changes and their impact on operations and staffing.
- Analyze capacity data and take corrective action to minimize schedule disruptions.
- Coordinate material releases and manage product flow through production stages.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure readiness.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance scheduling efficiency.
- Complete additional projects and assignments as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain coordination, or inventory control.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or a regulated production environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and capacity planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software tools.
- Familiarity with ISO/FDA compliance standards is a plus.
Salary: $71,000–$90,000/year (equivalent to $36–$41/hour based on experience)
