Description:
Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements using predetermined methods and in some cases may determine methods and sequences. Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. May improvise or adapt inspection and measuring devices as needed. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Maintains records of results.
- Understanding of how to use basic measurement hand tools such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
- Can use a microscope and / or magnifying glass.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, design specifications, and requirements.
Skills:
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Previous experience inspecting mechanical or electrical hardware.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Previous experience inspection or performing requirements verification.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. - Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. - Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in Colorado is $20.50 - $40.70.
