Operational Excellence Site Engineer
Job Summary
:
The Operational Excellence Site Engineer is responsible for facilitating and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives at the site level and reports to the OpEx Site Lead. The role plays a pivotal part in driving operational efficiency, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with cross‑functional teams to create and revise processes and systems, and monitor progress toward the global OpEx strategy.
Duties
- Collaborate with department heads and cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement and coordinate Lean Six Sigma projects to optimize processes.
- Foster a culture of Operational Excellence by providing training and standardizing procedures, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Agile, and other required methodologies.
- Develop strategies, systems, and tools to drive cost, customer service, and associate satisfaction to World‑Class levels.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and KPIs; prepare regular reports on the progress and impact of initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate cross‑functional improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives, and collaborate with project teams to define scopes, goals, and deliverables.
- Implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and methodologies, working closely with teams to address challenges and obstacles.
- Identify areas for improvement to deliver a robust and cost‑effective end‑to‑end process through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide best practices to other global manufacturing sites to share and learn within the network.
- Serve as a local subject matter expert to ensure visibility of local strategies and help standardize work across the global network.
- May work with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing and regulatory compliance issues.
- May involve limited travel to other manufacturing plants.
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.
- Training or certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a process, industrial, manufacturing engineer, or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of GMP and medical device environment experience.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem‑solving methodologies.
- Experience leading or participating in OpEx efforts to drive continuous improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
- Excellent organizational and public speaking skills.
- Proven experience coordinating operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering measurable results.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Change management experience to support implementation of new ways of thinking.
- Ability to manage time effectively within compressed timelines.
- Ability to travel internationally, as required.
- Strong persuasion and influencing skills.

Target Pay RangeTarget pay range: $ – $; target bonus on base: 7.0%.
