We are seeking a Technician lead to support manufacturing operations for our Space Electronics Center (SEC). SEC supports all Lockheed Martin Space programs building spacecraft power and avionics equipment which includes circuit card assemblies, electronic modules, and boxes. This role will require you to be organized with exceptional attention-to-detail skills. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other key essential team members supporting manufacturing.

You will be supporting the technicians on the floor with training and comprehension of the manufacturing processes for most of your time in this role.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to assist in training peers in new and current processes.
• Ability to suggest, evaluate, implement and sustain process improvements.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and define the manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
• Ability to decipher and follow various engineering specifications.
• Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions.
• General computer skills (MS Office Suite Software).
• Ability to mix and apply material to prescribed formula.
• Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
• Experience with solder, wiring, torque, epoxy bonding, and other electronics assembly processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and train all levels of technician.
• Must be a U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance Desired

Skills:

• Experience operating multiple pieces of standard tooling and equipment.
• Familiarity with SAP/VE-CAMS (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material).
• 0-2 years of aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with defect trending or Statistical Process Control.
• Basic experience in New Process development and experience validating processes for flight applications.
• Understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiarity of industry standards for electronic assembly requirements including IPC
610 and J-STD-001. Security Clearance Statement:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
