Production QC/QA, Quality Engineering
The Production Supervisor is a front-line leader and execution partner responsible for driving daily manufacturing operations for space-flight electric propulsion systems. This role ensures hardware moves safely, predictably, and at rate, meeting production targets while maintaining strict quality, safety, and configuration discipline.
In a fast-paced, high-rate space production environment, the Production Supervisor leads and develops frontline manufacturing teams, owns schedule execution on the floor, removes barriers to flow, and partners closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and planning to deliver flight hardware.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day manufacturing activities for electric propulsion components and assemblies, ensuring production goals are achieved safely and on schedule
Execute production plans in alignment with MRP schedules, engineering requirements, and customer delivery commitments
Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and maintain flow
Ensure all work is built to adhere to AS9100 and company quality standards
Support RCA (root cause analysis) and corrective actions
Train, Lead, coach, and develop production technicians through clear expectations and performance feedback
Implement lean manufacturing principles including 6S, standard work, and waste reduction
Monitor day-to-day production activities to ensure KPI metrics are met
Support Kaizen events and cross functional improvement projects
Conduct daily T1 meetings by communicating daily priorities and reinforcing accountability
Ensure adherence to all EHS policies and procedures, PPE requirements and safe work practices
Basic QualificationsAbility to operate in a high rate production environment.
Experience supervising small to medium sized teams OR lead experience guiding team members to operational success. Related experience specifically in Manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, oral, and written communication skills and organization skills. Ability to switch-task, be thorough and detail oriented, and demonstrate strong job closure and analytical skills. Knowledge of Manufacturing/ Quality processes and documentation.
Experience with environmental testing, thermal testing, pressure testing, as well as leak and functional testing
3–5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with hands-on exposure to testing operations.
Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with work instructions and test plans.
Proper knowledge of test equipment and preventative maintenance procedures.
Strong working knowledge of production floor operations, work instructions, and quality systems
Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs (OT will be required at some times)
Desired skillsKnowledge of Manufacturing in an aerospace facility.
Epsilon and Costpoint Knowledge desired
Experience navigating/overcoming hardware delays, such as coordination with QA engineering, MFG engineering, and PMP engineering.
Previous MFG, or MFG Test Experience
Root cause analysis experience or training.
