Job Description
Troubleshoot and repair assemblies, subassemblies, products, and/or systems.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties- Read and comprehend schematics and assembly diagrams and apply the knowledge in component level troubleshooting and repair of product.
- Screws, solders, cements, press fits, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on a printed circuit board.
- Data collection and reporting of unit failures and trends to Management
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases with understanding of test procedures.
- Responsible for training lower level technicians and assemblers in the areas of workmanship, ESD, safety and accepted AMS process. To include conducting training meetings.
- Document processes in accordance with ISO 9000
- Collaborates with the management and engineering when adopting new changes on the manufacturing floor
Education/Certification:High school diploma or general education degree and BSEET or equivalent military or industry experience. Competent solder experience desired
Required Knowledge: Thorough understanding of AMS manufacturing process.
4+ years’ experience with test equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators, etc.
Competent through-hole and surface mount soldering ability
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in relevant high technology manufacturing.,
Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical lead role in a high-technology environment. Proven proficiency in manufacturing standards that include ISO 9000, IPC-610A, and the understanding of AMS products and process.
skills/abilities: Solid communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, as well as with foreign suppliers
Must have solid practical skills in electronics manufacturing, schematic reading abilities, troubleshooting skills and use of common tools

Physical Requirements /Work EnvironmentRepetitive Motions:Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities:Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
Physical Strength:Physically active position, climbing ladder, lifting boxes (up to 30lbs), pushing carts, stooping and bending.
Hiring Salary Range: $27.21 to 30.30 per hour (Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
