Position Overview
Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, Colorado Springs, CO
Department: Staffing Office
Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) – Nights.
Pay: $35.29 to $54.71 per hour (depends on experience). Includes night shift differential and incentive pay on completion of orientation.
Work Environment: Onsite only; no hybrid or remote option.
Responsibilities- Provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- Prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
- Model proficiency through precepting new staff and/or UCHealth peers.
- Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
- Contribute to safe, high‑quality care at the point of service.
- Deliver care to direct units:
Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery – Birth Center, Women’s Care, NICUA. - Support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation during clinical orientation (in collaboration with Clinical Educators).
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Relevant certification as determined for the position level.
- At least 6 months Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
- NRP within 6 months of hire.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer with card in hand before the start date; BLS or CPR card must remain valid for 60 days of hire.
Night Shift Incentive Pay Program (upon completion of orientation). Three‑Year Incentive Bonus earned annually each October and paid after three years of employment.
