Job Summary
Temporary Park Ranger position (9 months or less). Pay $17.00 per hour. Employment starts now and ends 6‑9 months from the hiring date. This role is fully paid and is an unarmed law‑enforcement position under Colorado Parks and Wildlife Title 33 Commission.

Responsibilities- Issue citations for violations.
- Conduct patrols of park areas by vehicle (off‑highway vehicles, snowmobiles, bicycles, etc.) or by foot.
- Respond to emergencies and resolve visitor complaints.
- Complete reports and, if required, appear in court.
- Assist in daily park operations, including revenue/fee collection, verification, basic accounting, and deposits.
- Perform general park or facility maintenance such as cleaning public facilities (restrooms, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc.) as needed.
- Deliver visitor services operations that may involve education and interpretive programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather.
- Must be able to perform outdoor physical work, including climbing in and out of vehicles and under trailers.
- Uniform items are provided; employee may be required to purchase limited items at own expense.
- Must attend and complete required Colorado State Park training (may include exposure to OC spray).
- Must have valid current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Must work with limited supervision and be a team player.
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills for excellent customer service.
- Basic computer skills required (MS Office Suite, Google App Suite).
- Preference for applicants with or working toward a Natural Resources degree or similar education.
- Previous experience handling money and working with the public is preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday.
- Ability to perceive color differences and hear verbal and radio communications.
