Position: Assistant Manager- F.O.H. Manager Simple Eatery & Spoon It Up
Simple Eatery is hiring for a FOH Manager position. We are the highest-rated restaurant in Buena Vista, and the consistent winner of Best Restaurant in Buena Vista. This is a Full-time hourly position that includes opportunity for growth. Answers to the General Manager and Restaurant Owner. Ideal candidate will be customer-focused, a proven leader and display grace. Must be proficient in all aspects of customer service, training, food knowledge & be a strong leader, role model & positive force in the restaurant.
Strong serving knowledge, strong customer service, basic cooking skills & previous management experience a must for this position.
Responsibilities:
Train and manage FOH staff including shift leads, servers and bussersEnsure all FOH shifts are properly staffed & work with GM on scheduleCompliance with nutrition & sanitation regulationsControl labor and food costs based on goals set by GM and OwnerCreate a culture of a positive work environment with coworkersWork with the Kitchen manager and BOH shift leaders to maintain a positive work environment between BOH and FOHExecute and maintain cleaning & maintenance schedules for front of houseAssist in marketing, social media, special events & promotionsLearn to maintain POS (pricing, buttons, layout)Execute restaurants policies and proceduresProvide and train staff to provide a high level of customer service for all guestsAssist with inventory control and ordering supplies including alcohol orderingAddress customer and staff concerns and complaints in a professional and timely mannerAddress areas of improvement in the restaurant in a timely and effective mannerRequirements:
Work varied schedules, average 40 hours per week (weekends & some holidays)Proven working experience as a trainerAbility to spot and resolve problems efficientlyCapable of delegating multiple tasksStrong communication, team building and leadership skillsKeep up with dining & customer trends and best practicesCover open shifts in the FOH as needed to ensure FOH is properly staffedCompensation:
Base Hourly Wage: $20 - $24/hour (eligible for overtime)Tips:
This position is tipped out $8 - $14/hour on average48 hours paid sick leave, 1-week paid vacation, 401k w/ matching, disability paycheck protection, life insurance, health care - 100% employer-provided.Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
