We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person when customers enter for their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines (though it’s a plus) – a background in automotive parts is helpful.
This role offers opportunities whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full/part-time, or explore other career paths within us.
- Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
- Using your parts knowledge to assist team members and answer customer questions.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive experience.
- Engaging with customers with high energy in a fast-paced environment.
- Using technology (computer, cash register, phone, catalog) to assist customers.
- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions.
- Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks.
- Are willing to learn about automotive parts if you lack experience.
- Want to grow your career in a supportive environment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Good listening skills and empathy for customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries.
- Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems.
- Customer-centric attitude.
- ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
