Position: Golf Pro Shop Assistant (part-time/seasonal)

Rate: $16.50/hour

Foothills is seeking Shop Assistants for the Meadows Golf Club and Foothills Golf Course. This position ensures the daily operations of the Golf Pro Shop by keeping the assigned area clean, organized, and stocked with merchandise. The position involves a high degree of public contact and cash handling and/or collection. The job may require shifts ranging from morning to evening hours, weekends and holidays.

• Responsible for greeting patrons; processing transactions; collecting green fees; assigning tee times; renting equipment; and providing accurate product information, product selection assistance and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and customer contact on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner. Communicate issues/complaints to supervisor as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies regarding payment and exchanges.
• Ticket, arrange and display merchandise to promote sales. Take accurate markdowns, counts and inventories as scheduled.
• Assist with the annual Junior Golf Camp by organizing, setting up, instruction and supervising children.
• Perform routine maintenance as necessary i.e., sweep and mop lobby area; report building maintenance requirements. Corrects or informs supervisor of any facility hazards.
• Keep abreast of Golf programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that facility rules and safety standards are followed and assist in emergency situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, suspicious behavior or activity, etc.
• Attend ALL staff meetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis; subs for co-workers when available; is responsible for securing substitutes for shifts unable to work.

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Any combination equivalent to: work experience involving assisting the public, general record keeping and/or handling money.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, fax, etc.) and proficiency with applicable computer and POS software applications.
