Pay
Pay: $16.45 per hour. Pay may increase based on the number of textiles you produce each hour. Eligible for Daily Pay. Part‑time employees are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. Employees may make pre‑tax or post‑tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan (must be 18 years of age to participate). Goodwill of Colorado participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Job SummaryThe Associate I, Textiles Production primarily works in a production environment sorting, hanging, pricing, and tagging donated textiles while following company quality standards and guidelines. The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and must provide excellent customer service.
Essential Functions- Sort donated textiles by season, color, and quality.
- Inspect textiles to ensure they are in good saleable condition (buttons, zippers, etc.).
- Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare textile items for sale by loading them on Z‑racks.
- Make pricing decisions according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of the product, researching the item’s value on the internet or using company tools and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers, answering product questions as needed.
- Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- Cross‑train as needed in other departments and areas when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to provide a safe and efficient workflow.
- Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One year of retail experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
- Basic technology skills to follow company standards.
- Good judgment to assess quality and value of textile product and pricing.
- Ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime.
- Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
