Retail & Store Manager, Merchandising
Supervisor – Vans Retail Store
Responsibilities- Lead by example, coach and develop associates, and ensure operational excellence across customer engagement, merchandising, and store standards.
- Support the store team in achieving and exceeding sales goals by monitoring progress against key performance indicators and individual targets.
- Model selling behaviors and foster a consumer‑centric mindset through authentic customer interactions.
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and task delegation.
- Support stockroom operations by organizing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring timely product flow to the sales floor.
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members; provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product replenishment aligns with brand directives.
- Support inventory integrity through proper shipping, receiving, and loss‑prevention practices.
- Promote community engagement by participating in local initiatives and events.
- Uphold company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive store environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and learning.
- 1+ years of retail or store leadership experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
- Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
- Skilled in coaching, motivating, and building high‑performing, diverse teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Solution‑oriented and flexible, able to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
- Comfortable using word processing, spreadsheets, and retail software tools.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, climb ladders, and lift light to moderate weight for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; hands‑on experience and demonstrated achievements are valued.
Hiring Range: $19.66 - $27.60 USD per hour. Incentive potential may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission. This position is part‑time or limited‑time (e.g., internship) and is not eligible for all VF benefits, but eligible for some benefits available to this class of workers. Detailed benefits information will be provided upon hire.
