The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) supports the Business Development (BD) team by owning the front end of the sales process. This role is responsible for generating pipeline, maintaining CRM discipline, and ensuring high-quality opportunity handoffs so BDs can focus on client relationships and closing work.
The BDC also supports the creation of client-facing materials
—including proposals, presentations, and reports—ensuring consistency, quality, and speed in how the company goes to market.
This is a developmental role designed to build future Business Developers through structured exposure to prospecting, pipeline management, and the full sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and research target accounts across key verticals (Property Management, HOAs, Commercial Owners, REITs)
- Execute outbound activity (calls, emails, Linked In) to generate qualified opportunities
- Schedule meetings and hand off warm introductions to BD team
- Maintain accurate and complete data in CRM (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Locations)
- Ensure all opportunities meet minimum data requirements before estimating
- Track activity, follow-ups, and pipeline progression in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales
- Assist BDs in gathering project details required for estimating and proposals
- Coordinate internally with estimating and operations teams
- Support follow-up on proposals and client communication
- Help manage timelines from opportunity creation through proposal delivery
- Proposal Creation:
- Draft and format proposals using standardized templates
- Ensure scope alignment, pricing inputs, and professional presentation
- Slide Deck / Presentation Creation:
- Build client-facing presentations for pitches, walkthroughs, and reviews
- Support BDs in preparing for key meetings (content, visuals, messaging)
- Report Creation:
- Generate client-facing and internal reports (inspection summaries, pipeline updates, account insights)
- Support consistent formatting and data accuracy across all deliverables
- Build account profiles and map decision‑makers and influencers
- Monitor market activity and competitive positioning
- Support strategic account planning efforts
- Qualified meetings set for BD team
- Opportunities created and progressed in CRM
- Pipeline generated (early‑stage opportunities)
- CRM data accuracy and completeness
- Activity levels (calls, emails, touches)
- Quality and timeliness of proposals, presentations, and reports
Base Salary (Denver Market)
- $50,000 – $65,000 base
Target: $5,000 – $10,000 annually
- Measured by qualified opportunities created
- Target:
20–30 qualified meetings per quarter
- Data completeness and quality
- Timely follow‑ups and clean handoffs
- Weekly outreach standards (calls, emails, touches)
- Proposals Created
- Converted Leads to Opportunities
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and process discipline
- Ability to create polished client-facing materials (proposals, presentations, reports)
- Coachable, competitive, and driven to grow into a BD role
- CRM experience preferred
This role is a direct feeder into a Business Developer position. High performers will transition into quota‑carrying roles with commission‑based earnings and direct revenue responsibility.
