As a LONG Service VRF Technician, you will specialize in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing VRV and VRF Commercial HVAC systems. You will collaborate with our Service Supervisors and Service Technicians on advanced tasks according to LONG service procedures. While you will be part of an existing team of Service Technicians, you will primarily work independently. A company vehicle, mobile phone, and PPE will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped.
Your primary focus will be on performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on customers' VRV/VRF HVAC equipment while providing excellent customer service and resolving system issues quickly.
$46 - $55 per hour plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to:
- Specialize in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VRV and VRF Commercial HVAC systems, focusing on refrigeration cycle issues to maximize efficiency.
- Provide high-level expertise and excellent customer service on VRF service calls and projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on complex installation tasks, including piping, ducting, equipment hanging, electrical, gas, hydronic hookups, and start-ups.
- Troubleshoot various VRV/VRF HVAC systems, including wiring, controls, motors, fans, bearings, gas & electric heat, and refrigeration components.
- Assist in training and guiding less experienced technicians.
- Support Service Supervisors with complex system issues.
- Perform routine tasks such as filter changes, bearing lubrication, pressure recordings, and burner adjustments.
- Complete training courses to stay updated on industry trends.
- Accurately complete all paperwork on-site.
- Deliver excellent customer service, including check-ins and professional representation.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
- Adhere to safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 6 years experience servicing commercial HVAC systems.
- 3 years experience installing and servicing VRV/VRF systems.
- Ability to work after-hours when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Advanced understanding of HVAC systems, especially VRV/VRF.
- Valid CFC Refrigeration Certification.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Training in Daikin’s VRV service and troubleshooting courses.
- Valuable experience outside listed qualifications is welcome.
- Standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces.
- Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Climbing ladders and working at heights.
- Use of personal hand tools.
- Indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Working at heights and in construction sites.
- Inclement weather conditions.
