Job Details

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NICET-certified Fire Alarm Technician / Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. The ideal candidate ensures all systems meet regulatory standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety codes while providing exceptional service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems according to NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.

Conduct thorough inspections and functional tests of fire alarm devices, control panels, and system components.

Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Document inspection results, service activities, and system performance accurately and timely.

Maintain knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and safety.

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and customers to coordinate system installation and service activities.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and team members.

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred Level II or higher).

Proven experience in fire alarm installation, inspection, and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local regulations, and industry standards.

Proficient with testing equipment, documentation software, and technical manuals.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.

Preferred

Skills:

Experience supervising or mentoring junior technicians.

Familiarity with fire sprinkler systems, security systems, or building automation.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.
