Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Commercial Painter in Littleton, CO. This position involves performing professional touch-up painting and surface restoration for a large-scale lighting upgrade project across multiple school district sites. The ideal candidate is a skilled painter with experience in color matching and surface preparation, capable of transitioning between day and night shifts as project timelines require.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22 to $25 Per Hour BOE

• Repaint ceiling and wall surfaces to cover footprints left by the removal of old surface-mounted light fixtures.
• Perform surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and patching areas where old hardware was previously installed.
• Apply paint and finishes to match existing colors and textures, ensuring a seamless appearance after new LED installations.
• Coordinate work across 26 project sites, following the installation team to complete finishing tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring school property is protected from paint splatter and debris.
• Properly clean, maintain, and store painting tools, rollers, brushes, and equipment.
• Transition from day shift to night shift schedules as mandated by the project timeline.
• Follow all safety protocols and site-specific regulations while working in a school environment.
• Perform final walkthroughs of painted areas to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.

• Proven experience as a commercial painter or skilled laborer with a strong background in painting.
• Demonstrated skill in color matching and achieving professional finishes on varied surfaces.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including a mandatory transition to night shifts.
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple school sites in the Littleton, CO area.
• Experience working on commercial renovation or lighting retrofit projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines across multiple locations.
• Strong attention to detail regarding surface preparation and finishing.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach overhead for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to climb and work safely from ladders to access ceiling-mounted lighting areas.
• Must be able to lift and carry painting supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise touch-up work.
• Ability to work in various environments, including classrooms, hallways, and utility spaces.
• Must be able to see and distinguish colors accurately for paint matching purposes.
• Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $22 to $25 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
