Lockheed Martin is leading the way in hypersonic missile development and we want you to be a part of it! We are creating the first hypersonic boost/glide system for the US Army and Navy here on the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, and our NGC-SW Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for the algorithms and software that control it. Our group includes the Navigation, Guidance, and Control (NG&C or GN&C) subsystem, which flies the missile and glide body, and the embedded Flight Software (FSW) which hosts the NG&C algorithms and provides health, status, and sequencing for the entire system.
Additionally, we develop and maintain the Flight Software testbeds (HILs or HWILs) which provide complete hardware integration testing with feedback and flight simulation to test the NG&C algorithms and flight software. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C, C++, or Python. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
