** THE WORK*
* Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented
** Level 3 Ground Software Engineer with an active Final Top Secret security clearance to work from our Littleton, CO location*
* We are looking for software engineers to craft and build innovative solutions for our customers  You will be part of an Agile team that utilizes state of the art commercial standard methodologies such as Dev Sec Ops   automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc   and modern development tools

You will participate in progressing system capabilities from early design through site acceptance focused on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable best practices  As a member of a hard working team that are passionate about their trade, focused on mission and system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities  Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and a desire to have fun with your work

As Ground Software Engineer:

- You will design, implement, test, and maintain object oriented ground system  software applications using Java, C , Rust, Angular, Python

- You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability

- You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology

Selected candidates will be required to possess Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility  i e  TS/SCI  prior to starting employment

This is an
** EARLY MID CAREER  level 3  ROLE where candidates typically require 3  years of professional experience
** and a BS degree

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Strong Software Development, Software Engineering background, with a track record of successful project delivery

- Experience developing ground subsystems

- Demonstrated expertise in Scaled Agile development methodologies, with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and teamwork across Agile Development Teams

- Current TS Clearance prior to start and the ability to obtain SCI

Skills:

* - Meaningful experience designing and implementing software solutions using the following technologies:
Java, C , Rust, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache Active

MQ, ELK Stack/Open Search, Postgre

SQL, Redis, Helm, Kubernetes

- Cloud/containerization experience with a good understanding of distributed systems and designing for scalability

- Experience developing microservices

- Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration

- Working knowledge of Dev Sec Ops  Pipelines

- Excellent understanding of Agile Methodologies as they relate to the Scaled Agile Framework

- Experience with Agile, automated test, CI/CD, and regression testing

- Committed with strong problem solving skills applied to software engineering solutions

- Experience with back end development and algorithms

- Previous experience delivering highly reliable Communications / Ground subsystems
