Overview

This role focuses on maintaining and modernizing the tools, scripts, and data used for system‑level missile performance analyses within the FBM Missile Performance group.
Responsibilities- Execute software development and programming in a team environment, supporting multiple projects or task orders to maintain, modernize, and upgrade multiple software products.
- Support development of the architecture of the next generation of FBM Missile Performance simulation software.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of software features.
- Analyze and solve complex software problems, working closely with team members to identify and implement solutions.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, project management, systems engineers, systems integration, and test engineers as well as fellow software engineers.
- Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: MATLAB, Fortran, C/C++, Python, Java.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a Top Secret clearance; a final secret clearance to start is required.
- Knowledge of missile trajectory analysis and products.
- Experience programming in a UNIX/LINUX operating system environment.
- Knowledge of FORTRAN (or similar).
- Strong programming experience in C/C++ or similar.
- Experience with automated build, test, continuous delivery, and deployment.
- Experience with enterprise version control tooling such as Gitlab.
- FBM program experience.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain or maintain a Top Secret clearance; a final secret clearance to start is required.
Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $113,900 – $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
