Software Engineer, DevOps, Python

Overview

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for software professionals to work on Cross‑Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical and time‑sensitive data on many military applications and networks.

Work in an agile environment on Red Hat Linux–based OS.

Responsibilities include:

software design and development in Java/C++/C# SELinux environment, SELinux policy creation, maintenance and debugging, message parser development, XML schema development, network protocol integration, shell scripting development, and software testing. Provide software engineering support, participate in Agile sprints, and deliver new stream and file pipelines for diverse protocols.

• DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance
• Working knowledge of C++, C# or Java
• Some knowledge of network programming (TCP, UDP, IPC)
• Object‑oriented development experience
• Unit testing experience (GTest, JUnit, JMockit)

This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Clearance level:
Secret.

Schedule:

4 × 10‑hour days, 3 days off per week. Part‑time remote telework is allowed. The annual base salary range for California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500–$134,895. Salary for other states will reflect work location.
