Lockheed Martin seeks a Level 3 Ground Software Engineer with a Final Top Secret security clearance, located at our King of Prussia, PA facility. The role involves crafting and building innovative solutions for our customers as part of an Agile team that uses Dev Sec Ops , automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, and modern development tools.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain object‑oriented ground system software applications using Java, C#, Rust, Angular, Python.
• Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and test engineers using Agile Development methodology.
• Progress system capabilities from early design through site acceptance focused on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable best practices.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and a desire to have fun with your work.

• Strong software development and engineering background with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Experience developing ground subsystems.
• Demonstrated expertise in Scaled Agile development methodologies and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across Agile teams.
• Current TS clearance prior to start and ability to obtain SCI.

• Experience designing and implementing software solutions using Java, C#, Rust, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, ELK Stack/Open Search, PostgreSQL, Redis, Helm, Kubernetes.
• Cloud/containerization experience with a good understanding of distributed systems and designing for scalability.
• Experience developing microservices.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Working knowledge of Dev Sec Ops  pipelines.
• Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies, including the Scaled Agile Framework.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and regression testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills applied to software engineering solutions.
• Experience with back‑end development and algorithms.
• Previous experience delivering highly reliable communications/ground subsystems.

This position requires a government security clearance; the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, have a Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI), and current TS clearance prior to start.
