Software Engineer Sr , Level 5 - Clearance Required

Job Description

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. The role supports the software engineering lifecycle according to the program Software Development Plan (SDP), including requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis and design, coding and unit testing, integration, and formal test/delivery support.

Key responsibilities include:

developing and maintaining software modules in C or C++; working with multi‑disciplined teams; designing for full software life cycle; integrating with systems and performing tests.

• Experience with programming languages such as C or C++
• Ability to work with multi‑disciplined teams (standard teaming)
• Experience with full software life cycle development, including software design, architecture, integration, and testing
• Active or Final Secret clearance required
• U.S. citizenship

• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hill or Vx Works
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Previous experience writing and designing to software requirements

Onsite full‑time:
The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility that requires special access.
