Location:
This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.
The new Software Engineer will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM!
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:- Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
- Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
- Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
- Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#, C++, Lab View, Python, Test Stand.
- +3 years of professional experience for this role.
- Obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#, C++, Lab View, Python, Test Stand.
- Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment) and hardware/software integration efforts on test equipment.
- Issue tracking and troubleshooting experience.
- US Citizenship required. Secret clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management.
- Systems thinking mindset.
- Test equipment familiarity and integration.
- Experience with Agile and Dev Ops processes and culture.
- Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets.
- Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
- Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills.
- Experience working on project teams and development efforts.
- Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Top Secret.
9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado, New Jersey, and Washington is $93,200 – $164,450. For other states the range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Salary information is a general guideline only.
