Golf Course Assistant (part-time/seasonal)

Rate: $16.50/hour

Foothills is seeking Course Assistants for Meadows Golf Club and Foothills Golf Course. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and orderly flow of play, that players exercise care in their use of the course, and assist players whenever possible. This position will also assist the Golf Course Maintenance Department by filling divots and repairing ball marks.

• Responsible for the flow of golfers by monitoring and communicating with the Pro Shop and/or Starter regarding course play.
• Monitor and maintain a predetermined pace of play for all groups.
• Drive around the course(s), remaining visible and accessible to golfers for assistance.
• Ensures an enjoyable golfing experience by keeping adequate levels of water and ice in the on course water coolers.
• Fill divots and repair ball marks as needed.
• Enforce course rules and policies on dress code and cooler restrictions.
• Ensure that rules and safety standards are followed and assist in emergency situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, suspicious behavior or activity, etc. Completes Accident/Incident report.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
• Correct or inform supervisor of any course safety issues; communicate issues/complaints to supervisor as needed.
• Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis; subs for co-workers when available; is responsible for securing substitutes for shifts unable to work.

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations relating to the game of golf.
• Must be able to safely operate a golf cart.
