Responsibilities
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Lift and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs using appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
- Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications per federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license per state requirements and have a good driving record. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Must work in a constant state of alertness and safely.
Preferred QualificationsSchedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm. Hourly rate: $25.88 (non‑negotiable).
Hourly rate: $25.88 to $37.23.
Pay TransparencyCompensation range is an estimate of starting salary across all potential locations. Actual starting pay is determined by experience, market level, location, and other factors.
