Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Reliability Engineer located in Littleton, MA.
Reporting to the Product Manager, the Reliability Engineer will influence design choices, design and maintain reliability evaluation tools to maximize product reliability, and lead DFMEA and PFMEA efforts supporting our coolant distribution units. The position will lead the identification of reliability-related test needs, planning, and evaluation. Successful candidates will be comfortable taking on tasks as an individual contributor as well as working together with the team as required to meet project deadlines.
Whata typical day looks like:
- Lead the development of new and the maintenance of existing coolant distribution unit reliability models.
- Lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities for Jet Cool coolant distribution units.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations staff to ensure all test data is aggregated, and field data is tracked for additional DFMEA or PFMEA insights.
- Work with engineering and operations to establish reliability test plans to support the introduction of new products or product updates.
- Assist in maintaining a strong best practice culture and driving additional foundational knowledge and IP.
- Leading failure root cause investigations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Participate in design reviews, presenting technical findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the resolution of technical challenges and issues related to coolant distribution units throughout the product lifecycle.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-collegiate experience, preferably working in hardware product reliability in the data center cooling, automotive, medical, or nuclear industries.
- Excellent communication skills to help facilitate more complete FMEAs and distill key reliability findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in NPI process participation and/or leadership.
- Familiarity with data center cooling infrastructure (cooling modules, CDUs, dry coolers, chillers).
- Experience testing fluid systems.
