Payroll Specialist III

At this time, this is a hybrid position, and we are only looking for candidates who are local to the Littleton, MA area and are willing to work in a hybrid environment. Also, we are unable to sponsor Visa candidates.

• Answer and triage phone calls as needed.
• Process payroll data using in-house software to produce payroll checks and reports.
• Monitor processing and fulfill printing output to successful completion as needed.
• Complete ongoing assigned training courses necessary to expand payroll and Connect Pay knowledge base.
• Manage assigned client base with complex payroll processing, taxes, ancillary services, workers comp, year-end processing, and other related concerns.
• Complete any special projects assigned by management.

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll tax processing experience, or bachelor’s degree in accounting, math or related fields.
• Proficient understanding of payroll and payroll tax calculations and filings.
• Passion for numbers and math.
• Experience with payroll software.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to commute to the office every business day.
• Good technical skills with computers and printers.
• Able to work and function in a corporate setting.
• Proven experience in problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good at balancing personal troubleshooting and seeking guidance.
• Good critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate a situation, identify potential next steps and make informed decisions.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in teams.
• Proven experience handling sensitive payroll and employee data with discretion.

CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role's hourly rate range is $23.15 - $26.80. The actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
