Production Planner – Medical Device Manufacturing Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage capacity, materials, and production schedules in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role ensures on-time product delivery by aligning resources, materials, and labor while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain weekly production schedules and planning KPIs
  • Coordinate materials, labor, and machine capacity to meet delivery targets
  • Prioritize work orders based on capacity, materials, and staffing availability
  • Analyze capacity data and proactively mitigate scheduling risks
  • Communicate forecast changes and production impacts to stakeholders
  • Coordinate material releases and product flow based on project timelines
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure material readiness and production alignment
  • Support continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering
    , or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices strongly preferred)
  • Strong expertise in production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning
  • Expert-level experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP Business One, Priority ERP, MRPeasy, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of MES, APS tools
    , and data-driven planning
  • Familiarity with ISO/FDA regulatory requirements
