Production Planner – Medical Device Manufacturing Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage capacity, materials, and production schedules in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role ensures on-time product delivery by aligning resources, materials, and labor while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain weekly production schedules and planning KPIs
- Coordinate materials, labor, and machine capacity to meet delivery targets
- Prioritize work orders based on capacity, materials, and staffing availability
- Analyze capacity data and proactively mitigate scheduling risks
- Communicate forecast changes and production impacts to stakeholders
- Coordinate material releases and product flow based on project timelines
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure material readiness and production alignment
- Support continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering
, or equivalent experience - 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices strongly preferred)
- Strong expertise in production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning
- Expert-level experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP Business One, Priority ERP, MRPeasy, or similar)
- Working knowledge of MES, APS tools
, and data-driven planning - Familiarity with ISO/FDA regulatory requirements
- Medical device manufacturing
