Food Safety Team Leader | Food & Beverage Manufacturing | Patriot Beverages – Littleton, MA

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Sr. Quality Control Manager, the Food Safety Team Leader is responsible for all activities associated with food safety training, audits, and food safety documentation. This role works closely with members of the leadership team to ensure all employees are properly trained and consistently follow food safety practices and procedures to produce safe, high-quality products. The Food Safety Team Leader coordinates food safety team meetings, internal audits, self‑inspections, and monitors corrective actions to ensure completion.

This individual must follow all department and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
Quality and Food Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), CPF Safety Rules, and General Work Rules.

• Work closely with the Sr. QC Manager and leadership team to ensure food safety programs are properly implemented, maintained, and that the facility always remains "audit ready."
• Remain current on regulatory updates and implement changes related to food safety.
• Coordinate and conduct all food safety training for the organization.
• Coordinate and execute the internal audit schedule and weekly self‑inspections, including documentation and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Organize and lead Food Safety Team meetings.
• Coordinate all on‑site audits, regulatory agency visits, and approved inspections. Oversee record‑keeping systems and ensure documentation is audit ready.
• Maintain food safety documents, update procedures as needed and communicate changes to plant personnel.
• Participate and champion internal audit efforts through tabulating and communicating results.
• Assist with microbiology testing if required.
• Support sanitation team with weekly inspections/audits and feedback via Master Sanitation Scorecard.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience with broad knowledge of food safety regulatory requirements.
• Experience interacting with auditors, coordinating audit activities, and preparing follow‑up documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency.
• Experience conducting training sessions for various group sizes.
• Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certification beneficial for Food Safety related documentation verifications.
• Sanitation experience not required but beneficial.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. Extensive walking within the plant is required, along with frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, standing, walking, crouching, and squatting. Additional physical activity may be required depending on operational needs.
