The Business Development Director – Custom Silicon, based in Littleton, MA;
Austin, TX; or San Jose, CA, is a seasoned professional responsible for building long‑term, trusted‑advisor relationships with key chip makers and emerging custom silicon innovators. This role leads the identification, development, and closing of strategic opportunities for Jet Cool’s liquid cooling solutions, particularly with leading semiconductor companies, advanced packaging specialists, and organizations developing high‑performance and next‑generation compute architectures.
- Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan for assigned accounts, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leading semiconductor companies, engaging key business executives, technical stakeholders, and decision‑makers.
- Partner with Jet Cool’s liquid cooling technical experts to scope and quote custom liquid cooling solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Manage the full order lifecycle, resolving complex issues to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives and contribute to company growth strategies.
- Engage with compute and hardware architects to promote Jet Cool’s value proposition and explore integration opportunities.
- Analyze customer documentation and sales data to propose competitive, innovative solutions.
- Travel across the territory (up to 50%) to build relationships, visit customer sites, and present solutions.
- Coach and mentor other sales team members, contributing to continuous improvement and team success.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or strategic account management.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Proven success in large‑account sales and relationship management, ideally with semiconductor, custom silicon, or advanced compute companies.
- Customer‑first mindset with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and expand a sales pipeline at least 3× assigned quota using CRM tools.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint for presentations.
- Comfortable working in high‑performance compute and lab environments.
