Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

What You'll Do As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you'll inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water-based fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and institutional customers throughout Massachusetts.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of:
Wet Pipe Systems Dry Pipe Systems Pre-Action Systems Deluge Systems Standpipe Systems Fire Pumps - Diagnose system deficiencies and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Repair or replace valves, sprinkler heads, piping components, switches, gauges, and other system devices.
- Perform small sprinkler installations, modifications, and tenant improvement projects.
- Ensure all work complies with: NFPA 13 NFPA 20 NFPA 25 Massachusetts Fire Code OSHA Standards
- Coordinate inspections with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, service documentation, and deficiency reports.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system conditions and recommended repairs.
- Work safely while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Requirements Qualifications Required Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Sprinkler Fitter License Minimum 1 year of fire sprinkler service, inspection, or installation experience Working knowledge of: NFPA 13 NFPA 20 NFPA 25 Massachusetts Fire Code Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred NICET Certification (Water-Based Systems) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Experience with fire pumps, standpipes, and pre-action systems Experience using electronic inspection software or mobile service platforms Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to work in various environments and lift heavy equipment, when necessary.
Ability to work on ladder's and lifts.
