Material Handler

Job Tasks

* Requesting MRO supplies, long-lead stockroom inventory, outside services and capital expenditures as required

* Review and place orders for raw material and stockroom inventory utilizing MRP and Min Exception reports for quantity and delivery requirements

* Expedites orders and requests as needed

* Estimates values according to knowledge of market price

* Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid

* Prepares purchase orders or bid requests

* Maintains procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories

* May approve invoices for payment

* May expedite delivery of goods to users

* Perform Purchasing and Inventory Control related functions

* Work order kitting

* Material transactions

* Physical inventory

* Shipping and receiving as required

* Maintain the inventory integrity, organization and cleanliness of stockroom

Job Requirements

* Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with various departments within the organization

* Must be proficient in MS Excel and accounting software. MAS
500 experience a plus

* Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50lbs

* Uses forklift to move materials

* Overhead Gantry and loader experience preferred

* Must be capable of handling stock with care

* Frequently required to balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch and occasionally climbs ladder
