Position: Production Operator - 1st Shift (Mon-Fri)
Furst-McNess Company is looking to add a full-time Production Operator at our Live Oak, FL location.

Starting Pay:
Compensation will be determined by relevant experience and the interview process

Pay Type:

Hourly rate with overtime pay, paid bi-weekly

Work Setting:
Onsite, Production/Warehouse environment

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Feed Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing and packaging high‑quality feed and mineral products. This role operates production equipment, follows established procedures, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and supports daily plant operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and committed to producing consistent, high‑quality products while contributing to efficient plant operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment

Package product and stack bags or bulk product onto pallets

Measure, prepare and add materials according to work instructions

Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods

Assist with mixing or production processes as trained

Load and unload bulk materials from trucks or other deliveries

Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and assist with basic repairs when trained

Follow inventory procedures and repair damaged bags or pallets as needed

Maintain a clean and safe work area; complete daily and weekly housekeeping tasks and documentation

Complete production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and on time Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve issues

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or related experience is preferred

Experience operating industrial equipment, or willingness to learn and operate equipment safely

Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support

Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork

Effective teamwork, communication, and reliability skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment
